Financial Review: Gribble makes his mark at Alceon with $250m private capital play
30 April 2026
Alceon has launched a $250 million capital raise for a new wholesale evergreen private credit fund, the Alceon Partners Fund. Led by the hybrid solutions team under Daniel Chersky, the fund will focus on mid‑market special situations and flexible “in‑between” deals that sit outside traditional private equity and private credit, using instruments such as warrants, preferred equity and minority stakes. The fund institutionalises a strategy Alceon has previously executed through its balance sheet and syndicates, particularly in real estate lending, and is positioned as a defensive‑growth vehicle for external investors. Alceon has committed $40 million of its own capital, with ambitions to scale the fund to $1 billion over time.
