Financial Review: Alceon raising $100m for new PE fund, hits $60m milestone

Alceon has launched the Alceon Private Equity Access Fund, recently securing $60 million of its $100 million target. The new fund targets founder-led lower mid‑market companies earning $5 million to $20 million andwill typically fund 50 per cent of equity in five to six investments. Revamped since 2020 under private equity head Zac Midalia, the team has built its track record with a 58 per cent weighted net IRR from $353 million invested across 10 businesses, including exits such as Efex, Nido and Orange Hire.
